A story about coffee & Friendship
My coffee journey started way back in 2014. Right out of high school, I got a job at Starbucks. At that time, I didn’t really care about coffee. I was just there for a paycheck. But, I always knew that there was something more and there was more to learn. I kept going.
My next job was working at the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, California. That’s where I first learned more about coffee. I had a trainer that taught me the basics of Espresso, and I was even more intrigued.
Finally, when I moved down to Los Angeles in 2016, I figured I’d get a job in coffee while I figured something else out. You know, something to pay the bills. That’s when I got a job at Groundwork Coffee in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. And everything changed.
I got hooked. I learned more about the roasting process, I had a trainer who taught me a lot of everything I know today, I started going to competitions & meeting other people in the industry. I knew that I wanted to do something in the coffee industry.
That’s when Silverwings was born. We’re a coffee platform with the purpose of helping others learn more about the coffee industry, and bringing those people together. Eventually, we want to go to the different platform.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you’ll follow me along on this journey.
